Spring 2021 Python Workshops Confirmed
UC Merced Engineering Service Learning recently reached out to me to gauge interest in hosting a series of Python programming workshops again. After checking with my organization, I can confirm that the Solar Energy Association will indeed be partnering with UC Merced Engineering Service Learning to deliver a series of Python programming workshops in the spring of 2021. Just as with the workshops we did in the fall of 2020, I will be the instructor for the entire series.
We’re expecting to host these workshops in mid-March. I will be spending this month preparing workshops materials in order to ensure the success of attendees. The specific details of these workshops will be released as they’re finalized. We’re currently looking at a 3-workshop series over the span of 3 weeks, with the durations being from 90-120 minutes each.
Last semester, we had a focus on education and building basic applications in Python. This semester, I’d like to see if it’d be more beneficial to focus on applications of Python in a diverse set of professional fields. Again, I can’t say anything for certain yet as it’s too early.
