nya! Devlog 1

This is the second week working on nya! with my team. By now, I’ve just about finished up the daemon and its respective specifications, and the visualization engine team has finished a few graph generators already. The daemon is still in the midst of heavy testing and tweaking to ensure stability. The most difficult challenge that I’ve encountered so far is the implementation of an AVL tree, simply just due to the fact that AVL tree rotations are a degree more challenging than most other kinds of operations on other data structures.

I’ve personally unfortunately had to slow down my pace of development due to my home environment down here in Southern California. Living at home with my family has been quite hellish, and I very desperately look forward to going back to my home up north in a few weeks. Until then, it’s been difficult to focus or find time to work on this project. At the current time, however, it does seem like we’re still on track to meet our self-imposed 8 July 2021 deadline that we proposed in the initial development timeline.

More devlogs to come. Still on-track. Still in-progress.

Happy hacking.
