Thoughts on the Russian Invasion of Ukraine
It’s wrong. It’s an act of Russian aggression that will result in thousands of both Russian and Ukrainian lives lost over the insanity of one man, Vladimir Putin. I was completely shocked, though not surprised, when I read the news saying that Russia has formally declared war and is invading the Ukraine. I’m not particularly educated about the politics of that particular region of the world, and I won’t pretend to be; I’m just against violence, war, and aggression in all forms, wherever it may be.
War has no winners. War only has survivors. I’m fearful of the result of this war. I’m fearful of the lives it will destroy. I’m fearful of the ruin it will cause. I’m fearful of how far it will escalate.
I’m not Ukrainian. I’m not Russian. I’m not even from Europe. I’ve never seen that part of the world. I’m simply just some hacktivist on the Internet who supports peace, and as such, I stand with Ukraine. I wish I could do more to help, and perhaps soon there may be ways to help, but until then, all I can offer is my sympathy.
Happy hacking.
