Some Upcoming Stuff
Hey, I’m back in school. Our semester started last week and I’m taking 3 classes at UC Merced this semester: CSE 107, Intro to Digital Image Processing; CSE 168, Distributed Software Systems; and EECS 262, Networking of Embedded Systems. I’m having a good time so far and my classes haven’t ramped up in difficulty quite yet. I’m particularly excited about EECS 262 since it’s related to something I’m currently working on and it’s also a graduate class so I get to learn all sorts of cool stuff they don’t teach at the undergraduate level.
I changed the name of “Instant Rice” to “Rice Cooker” since I didn’t just want an Arch Linux installation script, but one that was user customizable. It’s still heavily in the works but it’s showing great progress and completes an installation to a GUI desktop now. I’m gonna continue rapid progress on this in my pockets of free time until I’m satisfied with my configuration, and then I’ll probably slow down progress and only made additions based on feature requests.
Amelior! is something that is currently on the back burner right now, as is my nginx Analytics Engine. For my Complex Scheduler, I’m still amped up to work on it, but it is rather time consuming as it is, well, complex.
Perhaps my most pressing project currently is HackerPass, a small and portable device that can track attendance and handle authorization at events such as hackathons. I’m excited to further elaborate on it soon and demo a proof-of-concept at HackMerced’s Local Learn Day this upcoming fall.
There were some projects that I wanted to work on with the Flipper Zero. I wanted to work on automating key cracking Mifare Classics via mfkey32 attacks, but I suspect other developers will beat me to it since I’m busy with other things. I’m still working on a magspoofing proof-of-concept for the Flipper, but it’s still very early.
Cool stuff coming up. It’s gonna be a great semester!
Happy hacking.
